Our new website went live this week. It has been a long time coming and we are rather pleased with it.
The old one did a job. It told you we existed, it gave you our number and for a good many years that was enough. But it did not look like us and it came nowhere near explaining the ways we actually help people. So we started again, properly and all six of us had a hand in it.
What you will find
Everything we do, in one place
Retirement and pensions, reviewing old workplace schemes, investments and tax planning, inheritance and estate planning, protection, later life and care fees. Then the business side: company pensions and auto enrolment, director pensions and key person and shareholder cover.
Each one has its own page explaining what it covers, who it tends to suit and what happens if you get in touch. No jargon and nothing that needs a financial adviser to translate it.
What our advice costs
Every charge we make, in pounds and percentages, set out on a single page. The introductory call, the advice fee, the ongoing charge and the additional costs where a situation is more involved.
Not many firms publish this. We think you should be able to compare us properly before you ever pick up the phone.
A cashflow calculator you can use yourself
Put in what you have, what you are putting away and what you spend and see roughly how the years ahead look. It will not replace a proper plan built around your circumstances, but it is a useful first look and there is no email address to hand over to use it.
Who you would actually be dealing with
All six of us, with our qualifications, our backgrounds and a little about what we get up to when we are not here. If you are going to talk to somebody about your pension, it seems reasonable to know who they are first.
Clients, in their own words
A selection of reviews from people we have advised, some of whom have been with us for thirty years. It is only a taster at this stage and we will be adding more over time.
Articles and guides
Our existing articles have all moved across and this is where the new ones will appear.
What happens next
This is the start rather than the finish.
Every month we will be publishing new articles on the things clients ask us about most: pensions, inheritance tax, care fees, protection and whatever the Budget throws up. Written here in Goosnargh by the people you would actually meet, not bought in from a content library.
We will also keep adding client feedback as it comes in, along with guides on the subjects that need more room than an article allows.
So it is worth coming back. Or, more easily, follow us on social media and the new pieces will find you.
Tell us what you think
If something is unclear, or there is a question you expected us to answer and we have not, we would genuinely like to know. Ring the office on 01772 864314 or ask us to call you back.
It is your website as much as ours. It only works if it answers the things you actually want to know.
